Printing Techniques: A Valentine's Day Adventure Workshop Friday, February 3, 5:30-7pm

Get ready for Valentine’s Day as you learn to make your own cards using various printing techniques. Our Art Educator will lead you through different printing processes as you design cards as well as a tote to carry all of your creations home in.

Members-Only Event: Valentine's Around The WolrdJoin KidsQuest for another exclusive Member Only Valentine’s Day Event! We will travel around the world with themed Valentine’s Day activities from different countries. Make your own chocolate candy like they do in France, or write a gaekkebrev (Joke flower) from Denmark. Did you know that roses’ romantic origin comes from the Romans? Come play at KidsQuest on this day full of love! This event runs 4:30-7:30pm.

National Children's Dental Health Month Partnership with Seattle-King County Dental Society February 2023

Special Events for All Ages 34KidsQuest has partnered with the Seattle-King County Dental Society to bring free dental evaluations and dental programming to KidsQuest! Come learn all month long about how sugar impacts your teeth and use dental tools, like a toothbrush, to create pictures. On select Fridays and Saturdays, we will have a dentist onsite to provide free 15-minute dental evaluations for those who register in advance. Let’s keep those teeth healthy!

Celebrate an ancient Hindu tradition to welcome Spring. With movement and action, create your own vibrant canvas decorated with gulal, dry color pigments customarily thrown on the second day of Holi. Come observe this colorful holiday with us! In cultural partnership with Hindi Time Kids!

Join KidsQuest for a 30-minute hula performance presented by Hula O Lehualani! Hula O Lehualani is led by Krista Moanikeʻalanālehua Espiritu. Hula O Lehualani is an inclusive halau with an emphasis put on aloha/love, respect/ho’ihi and humility/ha’aha’a towards the practice of Hula and Polynesian dance. Dancers will perform at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6pm for dinner and museum exploration. After the performance, stick around to meet the dancers! Pizza and lemonade will be served for dinner for an additional $5 charge.

Special Events for All Ages 31Learn the detailed artistic beauty of Pysanky egg decorating while sipping on some bubbles and chatting with friends. Our expert Museum Educator will teach you step-by-step about this traditional Ukrainian form of dyeing eggs as you create colorful keepsakes that can be saved for years to come!

Eggs are decorated with images and designs using beeswax and dyes resulting in artful keepsakes typically given to friends or family. An experienced educator will guide you step by step on creating your very own Pysanky egg creation to take home.

Eggs are decorated with images and designs using beeswax and dyes resulting in an artful keepsake typically given to friends or family. Learn the art of Pysanky and create your own beautiful keepsake, from home! Follow along in our pre-recorded video to learn this unique art form. You will need to provide your own eggs for this workshop, but the rest of the supplies will be mailed to you.
