Membership FAQs

What is a membership?

KidsQuest offers two membership programs; one for individuals, and one for corporations.

KidsQuest’s membership program for individuals allows you the flexibility to build your own membership based on who uses it the most – your family, your nanny, whomever! Individual memberships are available for up to 8 people. For more information on these memberships click here.

Corporate Memberships are a great way to promote your business and provide great benefits to your staff and customers! For more information on our corporate memberships click here.

Can I apply my admission towards a membership?

You are welcome to apply the corresponding number of admissions purchased towards a membership on the same day. The number of admissions applied must correspond to the number of members on the membership. To do so, show your receipt at KidsQuest’s front desk, or call 425.637.8100 with receipt in hand. Ability to apply receipts expires at closing on the day of purchase.

Are scholarships available for memberships?

Yes! KidsQuest offers scholarships for families in need. Families applying for scholarships must meet certain criteria including:

  • Income level must be at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines
  • Families must have at least one child living in the household under age 8
  • Families must live within reasonable traveling distance from KidsQuest

KidsQuest realizes that all families in need may not meet the above guidelines. Please be sure to include a statement about why your family needs a scholarship and how your family will benefit. Applications that do not meet the above requirements will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

How do I check-in on my membership?

To check in at KidsQuest you can scan your digital membership card at the front desk to pull up your record and show your photo ID. Photo ID is required for all adult member check-in.

Why can't I use my membership at all children's museums?

Each children’s museum is independently operated. Most children’s museums in the Northwest belong to the Northwest Association of Youth Museums (NWAYM). Every KidsQuest membership comes with a coupon sheet with two-for-one admission passes to these museums. If you purchase a membership with 4 or more paid members at KidsQuest, you also receive 50% off admission for up to 6 people at participating children’s museums across the country though the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) reciprocal program.

I have a question about my membership benefits.

Contact us! Call 425.637.8100 or email membership@kidsquestmuseum.org with any questions regarding your membership.

What is ACM and ASTC?

ACM (Association of Children’s Museums) and ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) are worldwide organizations connecting and supporting children’s museums and other institutions in their work.

ACM & ASTC offer reciprocal programs for organizations to participate in offering reduced admission to qualifying members. These benefits are available on KidsQuest memberships with 4 or more people!

ACM Reciprocal Network offers 50% off admission for up to six people at participating children’s museums.

ASTC Passport Program offers free admission for families traveling at least 90 miles from their home and 90 miles away from where they are a member.

Going digital means your membership information is at your fingertips! Information on your membership benefits, renewal notification, and reciprocal program information access (for qualifying membership levels) in a convenient place!

Digital membership cards will launch mid-September 2019 to all current members. After the launch new and renewed members will receive cards within 72 hours of membership purchase.

I'd prefer not to use this digital membership card, what should I do?

KidsQuest requires a valid photo ID for member check-in at our Front Desk. The digital cards are a great way to say informed on the benefits of your membership and get renewal information, but they are not required for check-in at the museum.

If your membership includes reciprocal benefits for ACM and ASTC, please reach out to membership@kidsquestmuseum.org to receive an email verifying your KidsQuest benefits to show at participating museums. This email will include a wallet sized card you can print and store in your wallet to use when visiting participating museums.
