Youth Volunteers

KidsQuest Children’s Museum is an ideal environment for teens to gain leadership skills and work experience, and to fulfill needed hours to meet school requirements. Youth Volunteers are an important part of KidsQuest Children’s Museum and help us provide the best experience for members and visitors.

As a youth volunteer, ages 14-17, you have the opportunity to lead hands-on activities; heighten the experience of children and families by interacting with visitors in the exhibits; assist the staff in workshops, camps, and birthday parties; and volunteer at special events.

Adult Volunteers

College students, parents, and grandparents are an excellent sources of information and are vital to the museum. Whether it be guiding children through exhibits, leading an interactive craft or science project, or assisting in one of our programs, adult volunteers serve as excellent museum interpreters and are an important part of our team! There are also opportunities for adult volunteers to work in the office or at fundraising events.

Current Opportunities:

  • Administrative volunteer needed on weekday or weekend afternoons to make copies, fold brochures, stuff mailers, file documents, etc. 1-2 hours per week, flexible shifts.
  • Museum store volunteer needed to stock merchandise, create inviting displays, and answer customer questions. 2 hours per week, days flexible.

With the exception of some Special Events, all Prospective Volunteers must complete an Application, Interview, and Orientation.
