Christopher Bean Development & Marketing Administrative Assistant
Chris joined the KidsQuest team in January of 2012 to support KidsQuest's mission of learning through play (plus he secretly waned to play with all the awesome exhibits). He likes discovering new music and, accordingly, his favorite exhibit is the water drums. Chris shares a birthday with Justin Beiber and is a graduate of Western Washington University.

Putter Bert Executive Director
Putter has been with KidsQuest since 1999 (before the Museum opened) and believes that children's museums are a gift to the community. She loves to experience learning in action. Putter graduated from Bennington College and loves lobster (she is from New England). Putter and her husband Paul have three children, Hally, Mason and Tower and three pets, Noble, Olive and Nut. Putter loves fish printing, cooking and SNOW!

Sarah Bigley Operations Manager/Volunteer Coordinator
Sarah came to KidsQuest in June of 2007. She has a BA in History from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, and a certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Washington. Her favorite exhibit is the Waterways Drums. Sarah loves chocolate, snowshoeing, hiking, exploring Seattle and eating at new places. When Sarah was born she had straight red hair. She has curly black hair now!

Katie Boehm Annual Fund & Special Events Manager
Katie came to KidsQuest in November of 2012. She graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a BA in English. Katie believes in collaborating with the local community to provide children, parents and families with examples of how they can have fun learning together in their everyday environment. Katie loves the museum's backyard because it reminds her of childhood days spent in her neighborhood's backyards. At home, Katie is a proud mom to her cat, Lucy, and dog, Quenby. Katie loves East Coast pizza and West Coast coffee. She also enjoys cooking and plays in adult co-ed soccer leagues around Seattle.

Jamie Bonnett Museum Educator
Jamie started at KidsQuest in February 2011. She loves her job because it combines teaching and play - two things that really should always go hand in hand. Jamie says that two more things which should always go together are stories and sign language because little hands need something to do! Jamie holds a BA in Liberal Studies from California State University, Chico, as well as her Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. Field Trips to Go are Jamie's favorite part of KidsQuest because she gets to take all the fun, hands-on experiences of the Museum to children's everyday learning environments.

John Ito Director of Exhibits & Education
John joined KidsQuest in December of 2012. John likes working at KidsQuest because he enjoys being a part of real learning through the power of play. His favorite exhibit is the Treehouse. John studied sculpture at the School of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. When he is not working, he can be found recording his own music or hanging out with his two cats. His favorite food is anything his wife makes. John also has a cool collection of of fountain pens.

Alison Lewis Museum Educator/ExploreStore Coordinator
Alison joined the KidsQuest staff in September 2007 to make a positive difference in the community and because kids say hilarious things! Her favorite things are KidsQuest Story Time, reading and every kind of pie! Alison graduated from The Barret Honors College at Arizona State University with a B.A. in English literature. Alison also spins her own yarn for knitting on a real spinning wheel!

Anna Mickols Visitor Experience Coordinator
Anna joined the KidsQuest team in July of 2012. Anna came to KidsQuest because she is interested in learning about the differences museums can make through their positive relationships with their surrounding communities. Anna earned her BA in anthroplology from the University of Michigan. She has a Netherland dwarf rabbit named Doc and a cockatiel named Olivia. Anna loves all the animals at KidsQuest but has a soft spot for Teeter and Totter. When she's not working, Anna likes to cook, knit and eat chocolate.

Stephanie Philio Reservation Coordinator
Stephanie started as a part-time Visitor Experience Coordinator in July of 2007. Since then, she has graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Elementary Education. She loves watching kids play and learn new things. Stephanie has one cat named Sophie, and she loves to eat pancakes!

Cassie Ronish Marketing Manager
Cassie came to KidsQuest in December 2009 because she believes education and enjoyment aren't mutually exclusive. Her favorite exhibit is the Treehouse, but she has a special place in her heart for Teeter & Totter. Cassie graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in English and an MFA in Creative Writing and enjoys reading, writing, dancing and telling stories. She apparently likes to sing as well because she can sing the Greek alphabet AND all fifty states in alphabetical order (which comes in handy at KidsQuest)!

Shelley Saunders Director of Advancement
Shelley came to KidsQuest in September of 2012 because of her passion for making sure families have access to science and art. She has a son that she has taken to visit children's museums across the country, and she loves playing tennis, eating pasta and spending time on the Washington coast. She is a loyal University of Washington alumni (go Huskies!)

Marguerite Stanley Business Manager
Marguerite joined the KidsQuest staff in January of 2012 because she loves kids and believes in KidsQuest’s mission to create learning through the power of play. She has three wonderful sons (Mark, Matt and Will), a lovely daughter-in-law (Kristin) and a handsome grandson (Aiden). A graduate of Wellesley College, she loves blueberries and building dollhouses. Ask her to wiggle her ears for you, one at a time – she can do it! |

Maida Suljevic Visitor Experience Coordinator
Maida came to KidsQuest in April of 2012. She has a BA in journalism from the University of Washington. Maida enjoys working at the museum because she loves interacting with people and there is never a dull moment at KidsQuest. Her favorite exhibit is the Treehouse because she can't get enough of playing pirates. In her free time, Maida likes to read, go to concerts and spend time with her family and friends. Her favorite food is mashed potatoes.

Sian Taylor Visitor Experience Coordinator Sian joined the KidsQuest Children's Museum team in January 2010 because it brings her love of children, arts & crafts and science into one place. When Sian's not working she enjoys all outdoor activities - even hiking in the rain! She has two dogs, a little Yorkie named Ewok and a blue heeler mix named Tango. Sian's Fun Fact: her name is pronounced 'Sean' and is the feminine of 'John' which is of Welsh or Irish origin. |
