Do you offer scholarships for families that cannot afford a membership?
Yes, KidsQuest does have a scholarship program for families in need. To qualify, your family must meet federal poverty guidelines. Funds are limited. Please ask the front desk for an application or click here if the cost of membership is a barrier to your family. KidsQuest also offers scholarships for workshops, camps and field trips.
How come I can't use my membership at other children's museums?

Each children's museum is independently operated. Most children's museums in the Northwest belong to the Northwest Association of Youth Museums (NWAYM). Every KidsQuest membership comes with a coupon sheet with two-for-one admission passes to these museums. If you purchase a Deluxe level membership at KidsQuest, you also receive free or reduced admission* to many children's museums across the country through the Association of Children's Museum's (ACM) reciprocal program.

*Beginning April 1, 2013 families will receive 50% off admission for up to 6 people at participating ACM children’s museums. Currently families receive free admission for up to 4 family members. This change will effect anyone whose membership expires on or after April 30, 2013.
How do I get there?

KidsQuest is located inside Factoria Mall, across from Petco. We do not have an outside sign. Click here for directions.

How do you keep KidsQuest clean?
The cleaning procedures in place at KidsQuest follow strict internal guidelines
as well as the safety guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control.

The Museum is professionally cleaned and disinfected each night, movable
toys are disinfected in our dishwasher or with an antibacterial spray, plush
are run through the washer and dryer, our Waterways system is constantly
cleaned through our ozonator system and our staff and volunteers
consistently sanitize our exhibits and touchable surfaces throughout the
day.

Parents are encouraged to place any items that their child puts in
their mouth in one of the slobber bins. These items remain in the bins until
they are sanitized. Additionally, we have antibacterial hand sanitizer at
the front desk at all times and we recommend that parents and children wash
their hands thoroughly before and after visiting the Museum, using the
restroom and coming into contact with other children.

We understand that germs come with the territory of working with children
and providing an environment for them to play, learn and explore together
and we work to ensure that KidsQuest is a safe and clean environment for
children and families to visit.
What can I do to help KidsQuest?

There are numerous ways to support KidsQuest in our efforts to provide children in our community with quality, interactive learning experiences. Volunteering your time, purchasing a membership or making a donation are just a few ways you can help. Please click here for more info.

What do my membership fees cover?
Membership fees cover you and your family's unlimited admission to the Museum, plus the cost of member-only hours, guest passes, and other member benefits. Membership fees, while necessary for funding the Museum's day to day operations, are not considered donations.

Click here for more information on our memberships!
What forms of payment do you accept?
KidsQuest accepts cash, check, MasterCard and Visa.
What should I do if I can't get an exhibit to work?
Please feel free to ask a museum staff member for help if you have any questions about how an exhibit works, have suggestions or are uncomfortable at any time during your visit or after. Museum staff are here to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Please feel free to leave a comment as well in our comment box at the front desk. If you leave contact information, we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Why do you charge admission?
KidsQuest is a private non-profit organization and relies on admission and membership fees, as well as donations to run the museum and its programs. Approximately 60% of our operating costs are funded through admission and membership fees, while 40% comes from donations from individuals, corporations, foundations and government agencies.
Why do you charge for programs?
Programs are an additional cost to the Museum above and beyond the cost of maintaining the exhibits. Most programs (workshops, classes and special events) require additional materials, extra staffing and longer operating hours. Because of this, KidsQuest must charge a nominal fee. Member discounts are available on all programs.
