We Love Farmer's Markets!

Farmer’s markets and children’s museums might have more in common than you think.
Both encourage you to use all of your senses to enhance your experience. At KidsQuest, children can touch Delta Sand, look at our Lite Brite, and listen to the Water Drums. At the market, kids are exposed to different sensory stimulation: the smell of pizza, the colors of fresh cut flowers, and the taste of fresh produce.
We are always excited to attend our local farmers markets. Chatting with other vendors and learning more about what the bountiful Pacific Northwest provides us is always fun for our food-loving staff. Visiting farmer’s markets is the perfect opportunity to teach your children about the importance of eating fresh, organic food and supporting local farmers and producers.
Our programming department has been hard at work developing different activities to bring to both the Bellevue and Redmond Farmer’s Markets this year. Look for our booth and join us for science and art demonstrations that resonate concepts found in the museum!
KQCM’s Farmer’s Market Schedule:
Bellevue Farmer’s Market – First Presbyterian Church
Every Thursday in July and August, 3-7pm
Redmond Farmer’s Market – Redmond Town Center
Saturdays, July 16th and August 6th, 9am-1pm
