Play it safe in the heat!

Okay...so maybe not the most timely post due to the recent cold front but since I'm hoping that the sun will return soon I thought we should talk about sun safety anyway! My coworker Stacy has the most adorable 3.5 year old and just got finished telling me a story that prompted this post. Last Thursday (when it was REALLY hot) the girls had a lovely day at school, playing, learning and all that fun stuff.
After Stacy picked them up they went on a walk to the park, ran errands and returned home to play in the sprinkler. "What a lovely Thursday afternoon!" Stacy thought to herself...just as her daughter came busting in, crying and saying that she had a headache. Stacy, having not heard that term from her daughter before asked, "What does that mean?" only to receive the perfect reply, "It means my head hurts!" So, a few cups of water with a cool place to lay down was just what she needed to feel better - and this serves as a great opportunity to remember to play safe in the sun!
Here are some quick tips about hanging out in the heat - good info for you festival/fair goers this summer.

Plus, don't forget to take care of your animals when it's hot out!
