Fanciful Fairies Camp

The girls were given fairy names today and we were thrilled to meet Gossamer Moonfly, Columbine Elfweb and many others! They made a poster illustrating their fairy name and some of the special talents their fairy possesses.

Tuesday – The fairies left a gift for the girls, a magical wishing star. Today we made fairy dolls and learned about where fairies might live, in the woods, amongst the flowers or maybe high up in the trees.
We learned a fairy dance and sang a song about dreams, and we also decorated glittery fairy wands.
Wednesday – What was the fairies' gift today? A beautiful rose stored in a sweet box. The girls decorated their boxes and made fairy crowns. Each girl wrote a note to the fairies, will they write back??

Thursday – Such excitement, the fairies wrote back!! The girls are eagerly anticipating tomorrow's fairy tea party. They decorated fairy wings and skirts to wear for the party. What other surprises might be in store??
Friday - The final gift from the fairies, a bag of fairy dust for each girl – how magical! They were also given beautiful, multicolored fairy crowns and wands.
The girls sat down to a delightful fairy feast of miniature sandwiches, tiny oranges and berries, pastel colored marshmallows and sweet cookies. Many photos were taken and the each girl left with a photograph of their new fairy friends!

What a fun week for all the little fairies who attended last year. I am sure each day the little girls were so excited to see what the fairies had left for them. You did a great job making everyday exciting. Congratulations!
