Five Days of Fanciful Fairy Fun!

Last week we were lucky enough to hold a second Fanciful Fairies Camp, this time with camp instructor extraordinaire (and fairy expert!), Anne Zanatta Kline! Here she gives us a little playback of what happened:

Monday:

How exciting to meet some new fairy friends, and get reacquainted with the girls who have returned for more fairy fun!  There was a letter from the fairies to welcome the girls, as well as fairy dust.  Each girl was given a special fairy, and they made a beautiful poster to celebrate their fairy.  The class also began decorating their fairy lands.  We spent some time talking about the many different kinds of fairies, and fairy beliefs.

Tuesday:

The girls were so excited to find their first gift from the fairies, a sweet box that contained a rose bud.  We had fun reading books about fairies, as well as creating beautiful wishing stars.

Wednesday:

The fairies left treasure all throughout the museum that the girls got to search for.  They had flower and butterfly boxes to decorate and store their treasure.  The girls wrote letters to the fairies to thank them for the many gifts.  Hmm, I wonder if the fairies will write back??

Thursday:

Wow, when the girls arrived they were each given little bags of fairy dust decorated with magic wands, AND the fairies wrote back!  The class decorated fairy wings and also made fairy paper dolls.  There was great anticipation for the fairy tea party on Friday!!

Friday:

The girls were given their final gift from the fairies – beautiful fairy crowns and butterfly wands. They all looked so sweet in their fairy finery.  The girls were very excited for their fairy tea party - they brought in the most wonderful treats including fairy cupcakes, sweet berries, tasty cookies, even edible flowers!  Delightful girls and fairy fun, what a magical week!

Thanks Anne! Check back to hear more about Anne's adventures with Storybook Theatre Camp!
