Collaborating for art!
Art plays a crucial role in a child's development because in the process of doing art, kids learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They develop social, emotional and physical skills, such as fine and gross motor skills. Through our partnership with Bellevue Arts Museum (BAM) KidsQuest members receive 50% off admission to BAM throughout the month of July and they are able to experience BAM's workshops and lectures at a reduced rate. We're also excited to welcome the "art experts" to take the lead at KidsQuest on Saturday July 18th from 1-3pm. We are going to explore our creative abilities and Get Crafty! with BAM staff and volunteers. This workshop promotes the process of art and childrens' use of imagination to create unique and spectacular works of art.
KidsQuest will also be at the Bellevue Arts Museum kidsfair from July 24th-26th creating tie-dye art with community members. Kids will dab their way to colorful creations and watch colors blend and swirl in the natural forms of butterflies, fish, hearts, flowers and stars to create distinctive works of art. We hope you will visit us and the other local organizations supporting the BAM's kidsfair this year!
We are happy to offer our members the opportunity to learn about new artists and genres at BAM and welcome BAM members to experience hands-on learning with their children at KidsQuest. Partnerships like ours with BAM enable us to showcase and support the important work being done within our community while increasing the hands-on experiences that KidsQuest can offer you!
